Either there is a major keylogger on this site, or...

Either there is a keylogger on this site or scammers are getting extremely smart.

Two days ago, my account Ceceskye on runescape was locked. It said that it was locked because Jagex suspected somebody knew my password. The pass didn't change at all. I had membership, was level 61, and had over 400k worth of stuff. Not a big loss it seems to many of you here with your millions, but that was the best I could do. And now it's gone.

I appealed the ban but didn't have enough information. Apparently we're supposed to memorize the agreement number. I guess I'm going to have to wait and see if Jagex will unlock it in time.

I created a new account and started playing on that. When I logged on today, or tried to, it flashed to the play screen and then flashed back to the login screen. Now, I take that as a sign of something wrong, obviously.

So I log in again. And again. And again. Same thing. Then I log onto my almost never used extra play account for whenever I want to get a bunch of sharks for my friends. Again. Same thing.

I assume there is a keylogger thing going on. But I only go to one site on my personal computer right here. And that would be rune tips.

Now, does anyone get what I'm pointing at? Someone help me out on this one.

acounts are locked because-

there are people trying to recover your acount via lost password , and there are too many , jagex assumes something is wrong , so they lock it until the owner recovers a lost password - https://password.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/passsupport.html, it may seem like your banned , but your not , and its probably just a technical problem with the flash screen,

needless of what i said ^ , jagex has locked a lot of acounts , as the tip.it forums password database was locked , jagex is only assuring its members safety , as long as you have a bank pin and your items are behind that , your fine.(set your delay period to seven days 3 can easily be broken)

ceceskye, as stated above, Jagex locked many accounts as a PRECAUTIONARY measure to ensure their safety. This doesn't explain your difficulties with other accounts, though.

However, players are finding that the more information they supply to Jagex, the better luck they are having at recovering accounts. Some users are reporting 5 or 6 rejections before they manage to convince Jagex that they are the rightful owners.

for discussion on locked accounts.

The last two topics have helpful tips on what info to provide to Jagex for recovery, such as the date you began playing, your date of birth, etc. The e-mails you or your parents get for monthly payments are THE BEST RESOURCE for getting reactivated. Someone on this forum suggested telling things about your RS bank contents, like what color your cat was, etc, but I dunno if that works or not.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
