I sometimes seee two crossed swords at the side of my screen on runescape what do they mean

that means multi-combat. in a multi-combat area one or more monsters can attack you at once, and you can attack one or more monsters at once.

[tele_block]

I means that the area you are is multi combat. Which means that any number of people can attakc any number of things, eg. Two players can attack one monster, or two monsters can attack one player.
