Openning Ports

Featured Replies

Hey all. I'm having a NAT/Firewall problem. I just hooked up my router to my voice terminal. Now i'm trying to open up a port in the voice terminal. However, I think the format of my static IP is 192.168.1.###, by my voice terminal asks for 192.168.102.NUMBEREHERE. Can anyone help?

What the terminal is asking for is the PORT number

IP address are always formatted as 192.168.1.x if it has a colon (:) with a number after , its the port number used to connect

You will have to consult the Control Panel for your router (usually accessed through a webbrowser) to set up port forwarding to allow a connection to one of your networked PC's
