dogfever Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 Right, I got my 44rc and I'm alching a few k of yew longs to get some glories together. The problem is how to get ess pouches. On my sightseeing tour (1 iteming just to have a look) I lasted about a minute. So I came back in armour, just rune legs and plate, d long and glory (on reflection a one click tele might be a lot better :roll: ) and a full invent of food. You won't have a skull when you first go in and you can go on the east side of the river to get in if you're still worried about the pkers, just be really cautious and prepared to tele but there probably won't be anyone there anyways. Find a good spot with only leeches and fight there. I believe the northwest corner is good in that manner? Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. shade_bandyt Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 like kwimbob said, take your best armor and a full inv of mid level food (i use tuna, but anything from trout to lobs is ok, depending on your armor, def and weapons. as soon as you get into the abyss head as fast as you can to the north west area. thats where youll find the most leeches and least guardians and walkers. leeches are non-agressive, hit 2 max, and only have 10 hp and low def, so you can kill them easily, and their drop rate for pouches is the same as the other abyssal critters. so youll be getting more drops with less work and taking less damage Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? Mordendravid Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 Additionally if you need to spend more time down there you could always take one or two 3 dose prayer pots with you. Depending on your prayer level by the time you run out of prayer, and so long as you've stayed in the same spot all monsters have stopped being aggressive so you can pick off the leeches at leisure. Also, make sure you have already got the small pouch from the dark mage. Medium and Large pouches seem to drop much quicker if you've already got the small one.
