June 3, 200620 yr what does it mean when a server is located in a certain place? I've never understood that. My game works fine on all of them and I very rarely experience any lag. So, what is it for?
June 3, 200620 yr The server location is where the company is located that lets Jagex use the server. For example AboveNet (AB) is located in San Jose, California and UnitedLayer is located in San Fran. If you play far away from where the server is located at, there will be latency, it takes a while for electronic stuffs to travel far distances so its better to play at a server closer to you. Interesting, never knew that. I have a really fast enternet though so i dont lag on any of the servers :D

I know but I don't use American servers very often, and my pc doesn't work in crowded ones which is why I use Canadian or Australian servers.
