Terragen is a program in which you can render landscapes, skies, water, or all together. To show you what i mean , here are some examples: 1. http://www.deviantart.com/view/9796526/ 2. http://www.deviantart.com/view/9708028/ 3. http://www.deviantart.com/view/9318122/ These are 3 images i created in terragen, but then again i am a more advanced terragen artist and i've been using the program for over a year now. To learn the basics of the program i made 3 tutorials. 1. This first tutorial is about how to create a basic landscape in terragen, which is the basic for all your future work, without this knowledge you cant make landscapes, you can either learn this yourself, ar read my tutorial (same goes for the other 2) Tutorial ==> http://www.deviantart.com/view/9799990/ 2. This tutorial is the most simple "special" effect, fog, i used fog for a sandstorm as well in a desert like surrounding i changed the fog color and voila, you have a sandstorm. Tutorial 2 : Fog/Sandstorms ==> http://www.deviantart.com/view/9824989/ 3. My latest tutorial, the visibility in water, as some of the people that know terragen a little already know, is that water is one of the hardest but also most beautiful items in terragen, you can have very simple and nice effects, but also hard shorelines and stuff. In this tutorial i'll explain how to make the visibility in water better so you can see the bottom of the lake and that sort of stuff. Tha_Hammerz Posted August 17, 2004 Author Share Posted August 17, 2004 Forgot to answer, sorry Nope its not just landscapes, but close, you can create great skies as well, maybe for post processing or manipulation real photos You can switch land and sky on and off , so you can render them individually. Those tutorials are informative, albeit short.
