Skill_Caster Posted June 12, 2006 Share Posted June 12, 2006 (I'm using the Tip.it quest guide, I seriously don't do any quest without it) Ok, I've gotten the book, joined the Phonix Gang, and now I have the key. I've entered the armor room and went up the ladder. Now where's the half sheild? I can't find a chest anywhere in there. Thanks so much for everyone's time, help, and advice. He doesn't know. Talk with the fur trader Baraek in Varrock Square; give him 20gp for the information on where the Phoenix hideout is. Head over to the hideout, it's in an alley in the south of Varrock. Head down the stairs and talk with Stravan. VTAM Corporation: To join the VTAM Corporation you'll need to kill Jonny the Beard in the Blue Moon Inn (west of the hideout) to get a report for Stravan. Stravan will give you a key to the hideout. The shield half is in the back in a chest. The key is for the armory. All you do with it is give it to your Black Arm friend. The shield half YOU seek is in the room near Stravan - go into the back rooms where the gang is hanging around and look in the bedrooms for a chest. >>> Black Arm Gang: Talk with the Tramp just west of the south entrance to Varrock. Ask him what's down the alleyway, and he'll tell you that it's the Black Arm Gang's hideout. Follow the alleyway and talk with Katrine. Tell her that you know about the gang, and that you won't tell who your source is. Tell her to try you out to prove that you're trustworthy. Getting the crossbows: Now it is time to ask your friend for some help. She/he will have to give you the key for the armour room. Once you have the key, go a little east of the Phoenix hideout and find the locked door. Go in and up the stairs. You will be attacked by the Phoenix master of arms. Kill him and take two crossbows. Go back to Katrine and give her the crossbows, go upstairs in the hideout, and get the shield half from a cupboard. Black Arm gang member takes key and goes to armoury. You can follow from there. Perhaps our quest guide editor will look at tightening this one up just a teensy bit to make it more understandable. Thanks for using the guides, it makes a big difference in your game play!
