Ok well I went to the apple site and went to see if there are Java updates (I never do updates but I have been having trouble playing rs). Ok when I get there it says for "Mac OS X 10.4 or later" <--- later?

I have a Mac OS X 10.2, is this "later" ?

CONFUSING!!

10.4 is a larger number than 10.2, so 10.4 is later.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Mac OS X 10.2 "Jaguar" was released in August 2002. since Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" was released last year, it is indeed "later" than 10.2 . also, you should get an upgrade soon anyway, because besides the Java update there are many new features in each iteration of OS X (you're 2 versions behind at the moment)
