Which is the best? I know zammy book only gives att bonuses but what are the obby shield and rune defender like? Which is betteR?

Unless you need the prayer bonus badly or you are maging have a rune defender. If you want decent defence go with obby.

A rune defender is good for melee. Gives +5 str bonus, +20 stab, +19 slash, and +18 crush to atk and def. The mage and range stats are negative.

 

 

 

Obby shield has same stats as a Granite Shield except it has a plus 5 str bonus.

 

 

 

Zammy book gives +8 to all atk stats and there's a prayer bonus that I can't remember.

Both is difficult. For the Rune defender you'd have to go through and kill a bunch of cyclopes and get the bronze, iron, steel, black, mith, and addy defenders and in that order before you could try to get a rune defender. And defenders are untradeable.

 

 

 

However, you just need to get lucky once with kets for an obby shield although it IS a rare drop and hard to get. But with an obby shield, you could always just buy it.

Rune defender I have heard some people can get it in !-2 hours, where as I have camped down in TzHaar for a week, and not got a shield drop yet!!! :wall:

 

 

 

So I would say if you have a total of 130 between att and str go for the defender if not try and get really lucky on kets.

.... Oh. You're talking about fighting your own armor. What are your levels? Atk, str, and def; mage; and/or range.

 

 

 

You don't have to start out low when fighting your own armor. Rune gives 40 tokens, addy gives 30 tokens, mith gives 25 tokens. Idk about the lower level ones. The higher the level of the armor, the higher the level of the armor and the higher max hits it has. That may have been confusing but you'll see. Rune is like lvl 138 while mith is lvl 92. I used mith for two reasons. I could kill it faster than I could kill rune and I could make my own mith set. You only need the full helm, plate, and legs.

i suggest obby shield. easiest to obtain by buying it. i just got scammed off mine :oops:

and with armor make 1 pl8, 1 legs and 50k heads :P
