Hi, cuold someone explain how to use pouches and how to get them please.

To get pouches you need to do the miniquest that starts at the zamorak mage just north of edgeville. Upon completing the quest you get the smallest pouch.

 

The other pouches you get by killing monsters in the abyss, but be carefull they hit pretty hard and fast. The best thing is to bring full rune and some food, but you should do this on a world without pkers. Inside the abyss you can no longer be attacked by other players, so besides the monster it's pretty safe.

 

In the abyss move to the west side of the ring, there's a spot there with a lot of leeches and without walkers and guardians. Kill the leeches untill you got all desired pouches.

 

 

 

There are 4 different pouches and you can only have one of each. The smallest pouch requires a runecraft lvl of 1 to use, the medium one lvl 25, the large one lvl 50 and the gaint one lvl 75 rc.

 

 

 

The use of pouches is pretty simple. Have in your inventory the pouch you want to use and enough essence to fill it. Now click the fill pouch option and your essence is transfered into the pouch. Inside the altar you can click the empty pouch option and get them back out.

 

The small pouch holds 3 ess, the medium on holds 6, the large one holds 9 and the giant pouch holds 12 ess.

 

 

 

When going to the zamorak mage or the abyss allways be carefull of pkers, so make sure you have a teleport with you or scout out the area first without any stuff on you.

To use a pouch you need to have it in your inventory. Then fill the rest of your inventory with ess. Click on the pouch and some of the ess will move from your inventory to the pouch. You can then refill the spaces in your inventory. When you craft runes it will only craft what is in your inventory so craft once, then empty (right click on pouch and select empty) your pouches to partially refill your inventory then craft again. You can also use pouches for mining ess.

You can only get pouches you can use, i.e. if you have 47 RC you will only get a small and a medium pouch. You will only get one pouch of each type, even if you have them in the bank while you kill. You will be give a small pouch on completion of the Abyss minigame, I think you can get it back (if you lose it) by talking to the Zammy Mage. You can only use one pouch of each type. Your pouches will degrade (turn black and hold less ess) you can get them fixed by talking to the dark mage at the centre of the abyss.

thanks loads guys, lol at me I spent ages trynig to kill them to get more than one medium pouch.

The bold part is not true, unless they changed it recently. The first time I went into the abyss I got a giant pouch eventually even though my rc was around 40.
