Featured Replies

Hey, i just started playing rs again and i decided to make a pure, i have no cash to help him train though so i wondered which would be the best method for him, specifically as a pure, woodcut/mining/fishing? thanks for any replies any help is appreciated!

well, i'm gonna assume you're f2p, since you didn't say otherwise in your post. I personally like mining, so i'm going to be biased towards that. Once you get to a decent lvl (40 or so) you can mine iron very fast, and sell for 100gp each. After lvl 60, you can get into the mining guild, and mine coal and sell for 200gp each, though coal takes a while. And, if you ever get to 85, rune ore is a great money maker. What most people would suggest, though, is wcing. I have never really liked this skill, but it is what alot of people use to make money. Train nonstop to lvl 60 (shouldn't take too long), then cut yews and sell for 300gp ea (i think, like I said, i'm not a wcer). As for fishing, it is terrible for f2p, since the bank is so far away.

thanks for the speedy reply :), yes i am f2p, should have mentioned it :) now i've narrowed it down to either wc or mining, i'm thinking mining sounds better, although i would as i've been influenced by your biased advice =D

thanks again!

Then why wear them when you are woodcutting? If you know you dont watch the screen too often, dont wear stuff you dont want to loose.

I'd say mining, iron's always steady while wood cutting on f2p suffers alot. Yews, no dragon wc axe. etc.
