im just wondering what iron fire arrows are for, are they just like normal arrows or have a special use?

They are used as part of underground pass quest. After completing the quest, you need them to access deeper levels of the underground pass, and they can be used for normal ranging. Some people say they are also good as a substitute for fire spells whilst fighting the ice man in Desert Treasure although this is unconfirmed.
