I have two options to raise my fishing to lvl 76 ( I am at 70 currently). I can fish lobbies at the fishing guild OR I can fish trout and salmon at Shilo Village.

 

 

 

Lobbies:

 

 

 

Pros:

 

Less work when it comes to cooking them

 

Possibility of selling them after sold for some cash for my hard work

 

 

 

Cons:

 

 

 

Somewhat slow

 

 

 

Trout and Salmon

 

 

 

Pros:

 

Fastest Fishing Exp?

 

 

 

Cons:

 

Price of feathers

 

No resale value

 

Longer cooking time

 

 

 

So... What are your opinions? which should I do?

neither. do swan song/any quests leading up to swan song and fish monkfish. they fish faster than lobbies and more xp than shark.

Yeah I considered that but I would need 24 more qps... So that would not be time-friendly. Anyhow, if you were to choose between these two, which?

I gained fast 70-75 with only 10k feathers and took only couple hours

 

 

 

you dont cook them just give away for free so you dont waste time dropping them

Fly fishing is best.

 

-5-10 gp per feather is NOT that bad

 

-Time-wise, Fly fishing gives much higher fishing and cooking exp compared to lobsters. (Cooking is pretty painless in the Burthorpe rogue's den. Banker like 2 steps away from a never ending fire).

 

 

 

Salmon and trout are not hard to sell... though don't expect more than 25-50 per fish.

trout and slamon are great for fishing and cooking exp.. to only fish them and not cook is cheating yourself of their real valuse..

 

 

 

 

 

As for resale, free players will buy np as their lower level combat means they do not need lobsters.

 

 

 

 

 

Fly fishing is ownage for exp, monks are fantastic for food to use for training.

 

 

 

the main problem with monks btw is that cooking gauntlets do not (last I checked) help their burn rate. To get to no burn on monks is like 90 + cook - ouch.

 

 

 

 

 

At 78 cooking I burn about 12% of all monks I catch for my personal food. when I go back to fishing/cooking, I'm simply going to buy 20k + feathers and hole up over at shilo. whatevr it takes to get 94ish cooking and fishing.

Both ways are utterly boring, i did fly fishing but dropped my fish as i was non member, it was ok but stil so boring!
