Just today finally got myself 55 slayer and bought a staff so I could burn up my chaos using crumble on autocast.

 

However, I'm curious, is magic dart good for much other stuff? What's it good for? I hear its effective on the barrows brothers, although I've never been there. I'm looking for all good uses of the magic dart spell!

It's really effective on Dagannoth Rex if you're ever going there.

It is effective on the barrows brothers, but in my opinion, ice bursts are better. If you do not have ice bursts, then magic darts are the next best thing.

the reason it is so effective on the barrows is because you get the same runes back as a bad reward so if you get the bad reward you get a free go at barrows... :)

Comparing it to two other spells, can someone give me one that it is better and one that it is worse? Obviously, I don't mean tell a lv3 and a lv95 spell, I mean like if it fit in between two spells where would it be? Or does its effectiveness vary depending on the target(assuming the others wouldnt)?

Well i can hit 18 with magic dart (thats with full ahrim, god cape, mystic boots, glory, god book). Just go test some out, see which spell you like best.

The higher is the your magic level gives you higher damage hits with that spell.

I can confirm thats its an excellent way of doing barrows,however ive never used ancients so cant compare but i like it :D
