EDIT:

 

ok

 

1. open up your render in a new window, with nothing else

 

2. go to Layers > transparency > add alpha section

 

3. erase the white background (use the magic wand, or color select to make it easier)

 

4. open your background

 

5. open as layer your render and there ya go
