at wat point does high alching become profitable? presuming i buy nats at standard price wat will let me buy back the nats and ores? my smithing llvl is only 42 so i dont want to waste tooo much money

fletching and then alching yew longs is the best but yew longs are at 70 fletching. They alch though for an impressive 785gp

I don't think that you can make money through Smithing, without having to mine some of the ore yourself. If you mine half the ore, then making Steel Plates can be quite profitable.
