Help needed please

ok well my computer is allways having problems for some reason, the registration has broke twice, i have this pop up which is not going away and i downloaded a anti virus called Ewido (which i pretty good but it cannot connect to the proxy host).

 

 

 

from my previus thread which i found i produced this:

 

 

 

ok well im having a problem with my computer.

 

i keep getting this pop up saying (see picture) if i go on ok, less than a minute later the same popup comes up. also if i unclick the box and press ok a microsoft windows popup comes and tell me the virus protection is off yet any no way to turn it on. then it pops up again

 

 

 

 

 

 

the reason for this is the virus potection is off. when i try and turn it on it does not work kinda like the button is broken. (see picture) no matter how many times i press it does not come on. also the email error i dont know what that is

 

 

 

 

 

 

so i need to now any way how to fix the button or get rid of the pop up?

 

 

 

some one said that i have a trojan and i scanned with Ewido and i got about 3 and also deleted loads of other stuff that came up aswell. i need to be able to connect to the proxy host or i will keep getting new programs that i do not want.

 

 

 

also after the computer man fixed my computer a program called Hijack this is in my documents, no idea what this is either.

 

 

 

so i need your help on

 

 

 

1.connecting to the Proxy host to update Ewido

 

2. Get Norton back on line

 

3. Find out what Hijack this is

 

4. are there any good free anti virus programs?

 

5. Also i think i have a keylogger as my pin was 2 days to deleted on runescape

 

 

 

if you need my scan reasults from Ewido i can put them on here

I can only help you with the antivirus and the keylogger situation I'm afraid.

 

 

 

So for a free great anti virus I would recommend AVG Free Anti Virus.

 

 

 

That is free and you never have to pay, and it's also a good virus scanner.

 

 

 

And to get rid of a keylogger I recommend Ad aware SE Personall.

 

 

 

That's a great spyware remover, and is also free.

You might wanna try repairing Norton as well as doing what ShaneOneill1 said. To repair Norton, you can either insert the Norton disk and when it runs, press repair, or, if that dosen't work, you can un-install norton and then re-install it. This virus probly erased some Norton files, and that probly why its not working.

Or even better, get rid of Norton all together. I absolutely hate that program.

 

 

 

Uninstall it and then just stick with AVG Free as mentioned above, its a hell of a lot nicer to use than Norton, its not a resource hog and its protected me from viruses better than Norton ever did and its free too.
