To be blunt you need range, most of the caves is fought with range.

You can read up on the monsters attacks etc on the tip.it main site under mini games on the tzaar section.

sure its possible, i've seen ppl do it. just use guthan and such.

okay, how about without guthan?

i went to the caves for fun the other night and got to about the third or fourth wave of 180s using about 5 tunas.

is it totally ridiculous to even try to beat it without guthan/range?

It is possible to do it with melee. I've seen a video proving it. So don't listen to what the other guy has to say.

Just give me a couple minutes to find the link, it shows a person (everything max for combat stats) beating TzTok-Jad.

And it is possible without guthans, but you'll have to range.
