I've got 64 range and I want to get it up (without a cannon if possible) I'd be using a mix of iron arrows (with msb) and iron knives. I want to pick up arrows (and loot if any good). Any tips on locations?

Both of those are pretty decent xp and GREAT drops. If you want better xp and don't mind (much) worse drops, you should consider the rock crabs WAY north of camelot. Low defense, high hitpoints, and a pathetic attack. I would go with the arrows for fgs/drags and the knives for rock crabs, personally. Knives are much better xp-wise but have less accuracy than a MSB.
