Username012
Hi, does anyone have tips for mapping RuneScape? I'm trying to make a map of RuneScape from the World Map applet, zoomed at 100%. But do you ever notice those little lines, where it misaligns a bit? Eventually it gets misaligned more and more, making it impossible to map. Does anyone have any tips? Would selecting only a very small area at a time, correct the problem?
missnej
i think there's a map somewhere on runescape you can actually downlaod. then you could zoom with a program. edit: go to "download extra files".

It's JPEG, which is useless to me. I need a clear PNG.
joecool280
Why? If you dont mind me asking, what do you plan to do with it, I make copys of it and doodle all over mine, eg joining up all banks on the map

You're not the only one. :o Doraemon FTW! =)
Smapla
Yeah, i've actually done what you're talking about doing. To make it easier, do this: 1) Printscreen the worldmap applet page (http://www.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/ru ... orldmap.ws). Make sure the area of map that you are screenshotting has bright colors on the edges, NOT BLACK. Just put it over falador or something. 2) Copy it to MS Paint, and draw everything green in except the area that contains the world map. Cover the buttons too! Then paint the world map area over with white. 3) Save this for later use. I will refer to this as the worldmapoutline 4) Keep the worldmapoutline paint window open, and open two other paint windows. 5) Start in the corner of the world map. Take a screenshot, paste it into the second paint window, then paste the green worldmapoutline over it, with transparency on. It should now show the section you copied from the world map, with green all around. 6) Drag the mouse a few pixels from the upper left hand corner of the start of the map area in the second paint window, to the bottom righthand corner (plus a few pixels), and copy that area. 7) Paste this into the third window, and set the transparency on. Now, before you click off to make it permanent, set the background color in the pallete to green. 8) Repeat steps 5-7, moving along the worldmap, and zooming in on the third window when you paste to line it up. Make sure you check that it is lined up in more than once place! EDIT: whenever you save it it'll lagg like hell. NEVER INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE COMPILED WORLD MAP THAT YOU ARE WORKING ON BY MORE THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED PIXELS ON BOTH SIDES.
