Well, with the release of the new update. The dragon axe was improved. So I pose a question to anyone that has it, or just woodcutters in particular.

 

 

 

How much faster does it really work? Lets say comparing the Rune axe, to the Dragon axe, cutting willow tree's - with a woodcut level of 61, or higher.

 

 

 

I'm interested in getting 90, or higher woodcutting. Would be it be worthwhile to invest in a dragon axe, and how much do they currently go for?

If you're interested in high woodcutting, then YES it is worth it. When you are concerned with both money AND exp, then yes, go for it. You can always sell the axe back later after you're done chopping to your heart's desire.

 

 

 

That's my 2 cents anyway.

do not buy one now. wait for them to drop again. but the fact is any type of woodcutting isnt worth it compared to other ways of making cash.

Thanks for your insight you two. But, I'm not woodcutting for the cash. I'm merely just wanting to get my woodcut level up, and possibly firemaking in the process.

I'd say it's worth it, for sure. Just wait a few days for it to drop a bit..

Yes, I agree with dudeguy and ortiz. It would indeed be in your best interest to wait for them to drop. At the time the axes are currently 2.7-2.85M in the official forums and I estimate that they will drop at least 200-300K in two more weeks. In the meantime, you can make some cash or train other skills while you wait for the axe's price to drop.

Definatly, even that little bit is worth it if you're going for such a high level. :).
