  1. Way too capitalistic? Hah. I can't deny that, but could you imagine a communist economy in runescape? I'd never play the game. Ever. I am not going that far, I am saying that there is not enough government (JaGex) regulation on money. Inflation is rampant, which is why party hats costs so much. I know the merchants will be "OMG! U releyes that prices go up ovr time!" Sure they do, but not 150% PERCENT every 4 months! That's because the creation of money should be regulated by banks. Unfortunately, Runescape has 30,000 people who alch things on a daily basis, and create too much money. But is it this money that is causing price inflation? Or is the the owners of rares increasing prices for thier own gain and then blaming it on inflation? the increase in price of rares is dependent on the buyers, not the sellers. rares can't rise unless there's still someone rich enough to buy it. Sure, merchants can go on strike and raise the prices of rares a bit, but it has very little power against the buyer and it probably won't last forever. and besides, even though runescape is the definition of capitalism, but that doesnt mean that prices are rampant. They are more controlled by capitalism actually.
  2. the store price of bloods are already hardly below the street price. besides, it would cost around 12m to get there using the law company.
  3. the current system of placing x amount of coins depending on how many you want works quite well.
  4. the current system of placing x amount of coins depending on how many you want works quite well.
  5. the idea has already been rejected for tating up too much memory. stop bumping this thread.
  6. Since the creation of RuneScape 2, the banking interface remains virtually unchanged. It has since become a problem. As banks have increased in size, items have become harder to find. The Tip.It community was hopeful that it would be changed if they created a petition and an idea, but it was shot down for being too complicated. Jagex claimed that the system that Thagern came up with would take up too much memory. Well, after hearing about this, I decided I should make some revisions to a banking idea. === The General Layout === ~~P2p~~ ~~F2p~~ MOTTO: "KISS"- Keep It Simple and Stupid. Keep the banking system so simple even the stupidest runescape player could use it. This banking interface was designed to take up as little memory as possible while doing everything that it ought to be able to do, and be laid out in a way that people can easily find what they need. How It Works Lock Feature: My idea does not contain a lock feature, but it can still do the same thing. Simply withdraw all of the item as a note and deposit them in the slot you want by selecting the slot then clicking deposit. It isn't too hard, since you only have to reposition it every time you withdraw all of it(which you would have to do with a lock feature anyways). The other advantages of it are that "Empty items" will not take up much in demand space in your bank, and that the removal of the lock/unlock buttons leaves enough space for a tenth column. By doing so, this also removes the need for a scroll bar. Numbered Bank Slots: I beleive that numbered bank tabs work just as well as customizable bank slots. The main problem with customizable tabs is they would take up too much memory. They would be great to have if there was space for them though. Buttons: I am thinking of editing the picture to contain a remaining bank space button, seeing as there is room and it would be useful. The swap/insert and note/item are still there. room: There are 50 pockets in which to place things in each slot, giving 400 altogether. this number might be lowered if it is overkill. Also note that there is no scroll bar in the design. Criticism: Below I have included some generic comment/response situations I might expect readers to say in opposiotion to my idea: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment:"There is already a thread for this topic. use it." Response: well, for one, my idea is quite different, and in the 100+ pages, it wouldn't get noticed. also, to my understanding, the other thread's idea has already been rejected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment:"PMGZ ADVERTS ON THE F2P BANK PAGE WOULD LIKE TOTALLY LAGGZOORZ!!!" Response: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment:"omg you copycat! That's Thagern's idea! Stop acting like it is yours!" response: The idea of bank tabs has been around for a while. It has been suggested by many people before. Thagern's idea became popular due to the fact that it had so many pictures and had an adequate design. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment:"Your idea is too simple! I like Thagern's idea more because it is complex!" response: Do you know the meaning of the word Bureacracy? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Comment: What is a bureaucracy? Response: A bureaucracy is an impractical, confusing, and/or complicated way of doing things, to the point where people accomplish nothing or next to nothing. An example of a bureaucracy might be the Jagex customer support team. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  7. has anyone tried using the mirror from nature spirit quest on him?
  8. I would hate to destroy your enthusiasm about a release of rs3 (actually not really, I rather enjoy it), but it is not going to come out. For one, Jagex just went through and enhanced the quality of graphics in the game. They have given a "makeover" to falador, lumbridge, the misthalin peninsula, and various creatures in the past few months. Jagex, planning ahead, would think it would be a waste of time to improve the looks of certain monsters and cities only to totally redo them on a new graphics engine later. like someone mentioned earlier, it will probably be an anime/sci-fi game. but i think they will continue to update runescape. They still havent released several of the dragon items, created a japanese style city where ak-haranu is from, finished the red axe, vampyre, miscellania, or elf quest series, and they continue to come up with new ones.
  9. Childish insults are a typical sight at castle wars. just ignore them. People who make those comments are generally either stupid or don't mean it seriously. Getting upset and making a post about it is equally stupid however. You play castle wars to have fun, not to 'pwn' everybody. everybody expects to lose every once in a while. you see, those put downs like 'noob you got owned!' make the game fun for some people. why let somebody ruin your good time? just be a good sport and ignore it.

  11. actually, it works quite well on other players for pking and fight pits. obviously you've never worn it. it is great for pking since anyone you fight would have to eat every time they were damaged if they didnt want to worry about getting 1 hit. i've seen fights in the wilderness where one guy in dharok was getting owned by a whip. a huge crowd had gathered and everyone was saying "haha the dharok guy is gonna lose!". then the guy hit a 72 and bam, the whip guy was dead. In the fight pits, dharok is great to use on people who dont use melee prayers. I switch between dharok and verac depending on if they have melee prayers on.
  12. dont forget about the black mask.
  13. I don't think you guys get it. jagex will not release a dragon full helm or plate. not only would they devalue the chain and med, but they would likely be overpowered and somewhat ugly.
  14. still wont happen. the release of the plate, no matter how rare it was, would totally ruin the dragon chain.
  15. i agree, i think we should have a bunch of people from tip it make lvl 3 accounts that are 3 letters long and it could be like this when then stand beside eachother.... tip it0 wns you realize you could do that using only one name, right?
  16. change your title to something like "tzhaar item scamming". this is not a new scam, it is over a year old. back on topic. the easiest way to avoid this scam is by memorizing the name of the object in the first trade menu and the name that appears is the second. besides, most of the endings to the names explain what they are. om= obsidian maul xil(pronounced sheel) sounds a lot like the word shield, which is what it is.
  17. I think the "silent G" is something more for Germanic languages (like dutch and german) i always toughed it was ard-doonG actually, its more from spanish and french names(in this case french). ever heard of something called champaigne? is it pronouned champignuh? no, it's pronounced shampayne!owned.
  18. . they were being sarcastic, it really is pronouced ardoon. the initial appearance of this statement has already misled enough people that we don't need to make a more misleading thread.
  19. rofl, hally is so slow. its impractical to train with.
  20. I give up. I'm really not offended by the post, I just wanted to prevent a fiery arguement from brewing. but I suppose that it's really not my business. and chris, you don't need to go and insult me. there have been many dark hours in american history. Since more americans died in the civil war than in any other war, I figure it could in a lot of ways be one of america's darkest moments. Now please, Stop quoting me and I'll stop posting.
  21. I dunno, IMO it's just a few players breathing life into this game. Maybe it's kind of childish, but it's better than players never talking except to trade or to scam... but still, my point is, can't we post about more apporopriate topics? i agree with ajc that this thread doesn't have a bad slant on it, but that doesn't make it appropriate to post, and that doesn't mean it will stay that way. The American civil war were America's darkest hours. while I myself am not offended by it, I think that it is immature to make jokes about it and inconsiderate towards everyone who was involved in the war.
  22. Over four full years of playing RuneScape, I have seen and eaten many pixelated kebabs. It wasn't till random events were released in Runescape 2 that kebabs got their infamous reputation. But one thing always bugged me. Why do the kebabs look so weird? Kebabs are meat and vegetables placed on skewers, then marinated and grilled to perfection! Why then, do they look like tacos or hamburgers? Well this question finally bugged me so much I decided to consult WikiPedia! This same question has probably been pondered by many of the American RuneScape players, But not so much by the European players. The reason for this is that two different types of kebabs have become popular in different regions of the globe! ~~~ Shish Kebabs ~~~ The kebabs Americans like me have come to know and love are called 'Shish Kebabs' or 'Shish Kabobs". They have taken a place in American culture with the use of the phrase "Holy Shish Kebabs!" as a replacement for more boring/cliche phrases like " Holy Cow!" or "Gee Wizz!", so many Americans have come to associate kebabs and shish kebabs as being the same thing. However, this is not the case! There are dozens of different styles of kebabs that have roots in Persia, Northern Iran, Turkey, India, and Pakistan! ~~~ D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs ~~~ The other style of kebab that has hit mainstream commercial success is the D̮̦̉̉ner kebab. These are a rare sight in America, but they have become quite popular in Europe. The difference between the two is that D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs are taken a step further. Whereas shish kebabs are served on the skewers they were grilled on, D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs are made by removing the grilled meat from the skewers and placing it in a thin arabian sandwhich bread called pita. This also allows for things to be stuffed into the kebab sandwhich that normally could not be added to a shish kebab. This includes herbs, rice, salads, and sauces. In Germany, D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs became popular after World War 2. Since the Germans had a shortage of manpower and needed help in the reconstruction process after the war, they invited turks to migrate to Germany as guest workers. They brought along with them their culture. Kebabs became a hit, and spread like wildfire across Europe. Kebabs have since become a poluar fast food, as they are a very portable food. In addition, they have become popular not only for their taste, but as a healthier alternative fast foods like McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, and KFC. D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs have hit it big in Australia as well, but still remain a rare sight in America. As someone who has lived in the middle east(Dubai) his entire life i can easily say that there is a MASSIVE amount of kebab/bob to be found, the most common(the shawarma) is,oddly enough, not mentioned in this thread. ~~~ shawarma kebabs ~~~ I don't know about you, but after hearing about these 'D̮̦̉̉ner kebabs', I really want to try one of them! Perhaps the next time I eat out at a Persian restaurant, I will be able to find one! feel free to add comments and correct me if any of my information was wrong. tidbits of information were obtained from wikipedia.com.
