I dont think you can flatpack shelfs i know you cant use saw for rooms but tea and stew but the stew is hard to get.

You can use tea for rooms. (I do it all the time because im lazy) :D

 

 

 

The saw however only gives +3 construction to things inside rooms, not the rooms themselves. (With the exception of creatures and plants.)

 

 

 

And no shelves are flatpackable.
