I'm making a pure archer for pvp. Low lvl, just for fun. Should i pump up defense? I'm mainly going to attack mages so i'm not sure if defense will help. thx

my fun but low ranger is 20 def and 47 range and 37 hits at combat lvl 37 i think the def is a must i already get owned if say a lvl 45 melee attacks me with 0 def ide be gone.

Id lvl def up at least untill i could use a green Dhide (40), higher for better Dhides.

 

Dhdes offer good protection against magic, much better than regular armour (remember that metal armour has a weakness agast magic atacks).
