  1. No, Earth spins around a 23.439 degree axis perpendicular to the Earth-Sun plane, making a full rotation every 23 hours and 56 minutes. As a planet, Earth rotates around the Sun. And I'm pretty certain that from the start, everyone has to make a little money from skills, and then buy supplies outside of the wilderness for PKing... but PM me if your selling full rune inside the Bounty Hunter volcano. :P HaHa, very funny. Thats the no. 1 dirty tactic of evil press/media companies: edit, or choose a small piece of a whole text from someone to make fun on that person, so the relevant message contained in the whole text gets ignored of forgotten. Anyway, your (lets call it "cunning") joke does not reply to the question i pointed out: why are most os PKers SO ARROGANT AND SELFISH to think everybody else has to think like them? My dislike of PKs is NOT because i was killed in wildy while i was trying to get items for quests. Yeah, i always knew there could be crowds of morons fully armed, ready to kill a passerby wearing nothing only to claim they are great for doing this. (This is WHY Bounty Hunter is based in EGO after all, i believe!). I knew the risks, so i was not there for a fight and hoped i could end my tasks without having to start it again because of a half-dozen fools. What makes me really sick about PKs is how they were the first do defend that things should be back EXACTLY HOW THEY WERE BEFORE, never giving a damn about how the other activities were affected by RWT and bots (actually it was great that they could buy the sharks cheaper thanks to so many bots, right?). While other players would go to the official forums and give productive suggestions on how to improve the changes, even the ones that affect PK, even thought many were not regular PKs, PK players did absolutely nothing except SPAN the forums, writing hate messages, and publishing texts that looked like some "RWT defense propaganda". Some of those messages would surely make a RWT website owner cry in happiness for all of that support! For short: most of PKs acted like 6 year old bratz. My message is simple: changes are here to stay. Dont be dumb enough to believe Jagex didnt knew how players would react. They knew already and did it anyway. So it gives us a simple choice: you stay, and go to their forums and give suggestions to improve these changes WHILE RESPECTING THE EFFORTS TO FIGHT RWT, or you leave the game. Theres a whole universe of MMORPGS out there allowing you to buy the best items for $10 and then login to call everybody a noob for not being like you, a great and smart guy who fought the dangerous monster for that equipment you just bought. (Nevermind the player who was scammed /hacked out of the eqp. you now proudly wear, or the pople who had credit cards numbers stolen so RWTs could do their businesses). If you're a PK, and you choose to stay, then please dont stay only to waste your, and other peoples, and Jagex staff's TIME on hate massages, unpolite messages, RWT-apology-like messages, forum SPAM, riot attempts.... Because in the end, youre not winning your personal vendetta. You're just being annoying! Did i made it clear enough for you now?
  2. The inside of a PK's Head The letter entitled "ABSOLUTELY INTOLERABLE" shows a good view of what a PKer thinks: "herblorists do their pots for PKs", "people fight dragons to sell weps for PKs", "Fletchers do it for the sake of Pks mage lvl"... Conclusion: WE ARE PK SLAVES!!! We do not play for fun, we do not level simply to be able to see and fight everything in the game, we even play Trouble Brewing for the sake of PKs! THE WORLD SPINS AROUND PKs!!! PKing IS THE ONE AND ONLY THING TO DO IN ALL RUNESCAPE! Oh, and lets not forget that if you dont agree with them is because you are "a skiller n00b". That whole thing of the changes being the end of RS is ridiculous, we all know that new players will come to know it and like it just the way it is. Pks are now being challenged to find out how big RS worlds are.
  3. Thats exactly what i was talking about: I think its really funny how some ppl who like to PK and didnt liked the changes just go like "Gratz Jagex, u just killed the game"... Its funny how these ppl really think that "the empire will ruin" because of changes THEY didnt liked... In my point of view, whats more likely to happen is that Jagex Staff will read the forums and make some adjustments to their new inventions. For instance, we could have a "borrow item" option on armour and weapons wich would allow us to borrow while logged in. I know some ppl borrow stuff for days and that would be a limitation, but cmon, some limitation is need fot RWT. Maybe the value limit on unbalanced trades could be a bit readjusted, i agree, but not so hight that a gold farmer wouldnt bother making a trade after the other to transfer all the gold. And for the Bounty hunter.... Well, i really couldnt understand why using arenas for it, i think the wilderness terrain would fit perfectly for the activity. These are some suggestions ill make on their forums... And again i say, things will probably just not stay like this. They will make some ajustments here and there and things will be ok to everybody again... Well, do as u wish. As i said before: angry ppl leaving runescape now pls contact me to give phats, barrows and dragon items, before januray 2008, ok?? Make my Xmas great and have a great xmas yourselves!!! 8-)
  4. Well, i really got surprised with the changes, specially about wilderness ones, since PKing seems to be the most enjoyed activity of 10 out of 10 bored players who dont like quests, or enhance skills, or have levels high enough. But as Jagex stated, these things didnt disappeared, theyÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôre just different now. So i cant really understand a huge mass of players whining about changes they didnt even tried! I mean, itÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs like a bunch of kids saying the hate to eat broccoli when they never ever tasted it before. IsnÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt it too early to complain so much??????? I think Armadillo is right. Think about new players joining today. Creating their F2P account, trying the game, and getting excited about what they can do as members. They wont care about "how good it used to be". IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôve always been curious on how was RSC, but it never was exactly "a sadness" that i couldnt see it... And so surely i didnt missed it! And i bet some ppl did badly! Just the same way ppl are complaining now. And for the people feeling "betrayed" by Jagex... Well folks, its all about a 5 dollar montlhly bill after all. Its your choice to go on paying that "nothing" to Jagex or going away and pay much more on other Online RPGs where u even need to buy an expensive game client (plus expensive computer with expensive graphic card to run it). Talk about customer abuse. (And now on a more personal point of view: i dont give a damn about PKers, most of the ones i met were dishonest people who liked to use wilderness to scam somewhat innocent players with some poorly told lie... Great motivators of that ugly and unnatural-looking wilderness ditch! ) EDIT: A final observation about this matter: people who are very mad with the changes and leaving runescape, please remember leaving valuable stuff with me before going away, ok??? Accepting dragon, barrows and rares. Please do before january - 2008. See you all!
  5. Hey, ure absolutely right. Ppl tend to see the things from their own and only point of view. But now theres one thing id like to see jagex talk about in that home page of them... Banking system improvement! Because its just great to see they do all those cool graphical improvements and production diaries... But since they locked up the topic insid the suggestions forums, i dont see a word about bank improvement. I mean, id like to hear from them something more than "we already know its necessary and were working on that". Id like to know if theyre actually working on that NOW and what stage they're in. Because regardless of if they will follow some players sophisticated suggestions or not (and those suggestions are not based on knoledge the game engine so the ppl behind them do not know if theyre possible to implement or not), SOME CHANGE is necessary, and now. Do you believe we players can unite and ask them for a word about the subject? An answer about if theyre really actually working on that issue or not? And if theyre in doubt about how to do it? Y not use their poll system to help, just like they did with the halloween event ? (that poll was almost a spoiler as i already knew where i was going and what was the reward!.....) So that is, i love the game, i think they do a great job there, but i think theyre missing one major point that is this banking system problems.
  6. 9.0 Because i really love dragons
  7. I disliked some of the new graphics... That's my point of view as a web developer: For me, the main problem in this new interface is that it uses icons INSTEAD of words. Icons are cool, but sometimes confusing. An example: a "telephone" icon in a corporate website could lead to its "contacts" section, or it could be a link to the section showing the telephone models made by that corp. If it's badly positioned in a main menu this icon could easily cause some confusion (i.e. many people expect the "contacts" link to be the last item in a website menu). To avoid such situations we often use text along with icons. People may get diferent ideas about the meaning of a given icon, depending on the context where it is found. But words are much easier for us to handle. We can easily look to a single word and aprehend its meaning, in a fraction of a second. In my point of view, the only problem with the old RS interface was the small font size. They could have used smaller icons in combination with the words, instead of replacing them. Using the interface would become more intuitive. But, i liked the new visualization of equipment status, that was a positive change. Readability is much better now, its easy to see the differences in eqp. changes. Now a bit of personal avaliation: i think the style of the icons dosn't match with the visual style of the interface, and then the final result looks a bit weird! To balance this, they could change icons for all items we use... Or reformulate the interface backgrounds. But i dont think people playing RS are too much worried about cute interfaces, because, lets agree, RS graphics never was really something amazing and ppl play it anyway! :D
  8. I'd make an observation here: actually it's recommended for your health that you stop at least after every half hour to rest your eyes and your back. If you dont want to go into making those time-consuming exercises for posture, at least think of going get some water to drink and keep your eyes closed for some secs. That won't hurt, actually try not to think of it as a "delay", is more of a care for your health. Runescape isn't a game to be played in weeks, skills are not to be perfected in one or two months. Just keep in mind that as you keep working on a skill, you will get there, no fail. I say that as a person who works and have fun at the computer, and probably as many of you, spend the time here more than watching TV or reading books, so it's important to take care of your health not to feel the consequences later. :
  9. Returning from your trip to the terrible Kharidian desert and its mortal heat, you feel very tired and decide that it's time to make things a bit easier, and maybe have a bit of fun and fresh air: you decide to pay for a ride at the gnome glide service. The flight is calm and you see beautiful landscapes as you fly but, all of a sudden, the gnome stares at a point ahead on the sky and so do you, just to notice a black, shady spot ahead, with smaller red, "fire-looking" spots. It seems to be coming in your direction... Wait, it IS coming in your direction! And it's... Oh my f$%#%^ Saradomin, its a black dragon! A FLYING BLACK DRAGON!! And it seems like it doesn't have much control of it's flight.... Actually it looks really scared, as much as you and your gnome friend! Before falling down at the fields of Lubridge, the Dragon manages to burn you and your little friend, making your money and some of your stuff fall from the sky... So falls the Gp of Doom. Later insvestigations reveal that the Flying Dragon was nothing but an attempt from the dark knights to make a new weapon to anihilate the white knights ant take out Falador.... --------------------- Meanwhile, there am i, wandering in the endless roads of Runescape (oh, have i been here before?), thinking of my life of dirty tricks, when i see it... And can't just believe it... But there is it! MY LUCKY GP (of Doom) !!! "Fate is something amazing doesn't it?", i thought, "So many times i've played nasty tricks against others just to have this small piece of brighty happiness in my hands and now.. Look at this, it came to me freely! That SURELY means something!" I grab the 1gp, my loved LUCKY Gp (of Doom!), and keep walking the roads... My wandering takes me to the door of the monastery... I see the beautiful vitrals... I listen the water falling at the fountain... I smell the roses... And then i come to the conclusion that the gP is not "Lucky" as i thought... IT'S SACRED!! "YES! Now i see it... For my life of crimes i've been choosen to transform my soul completely! I must free my soul of all evil and become The Priestess of The New Message, a new religion that arises in Runescape to transform the hearts and minds of all people!..." Then i dress up my Princess Costume i've got from the Prince Frog, Put an air tiara on my head, and walk to Varrock with the Gp in my hands, adoring it, and saying things like: "All citizens of runescape, in my hands is the vision of a new future, rid of all war and hate! May all of you find inside your souls the light of the Sacred Golden Point!!!" Then i proclaim "The Brotherhood of The Golden Point" oficially open, me being the "Priestess of The New Message" it's main representant. A beggar and a drunk man feel inspired enough to follow me. The beggar insists in touching the coin but i keep it with the argument that only The Priestess can touch it... And then i go on with my speeches.
  10. Only Zombie dance by now... Some people here said theres 2? Oh its a funny emote anyway! :D
  11. Hello! Id lvl def up at least untill i could use a green Dhide (40), higher for better Dhides. Dhdes offer good protection against magic, much better than regular armour (remember that metal armour has a weakness agast magic atacks). Best wishes!
  12. Hello! heres my recipe for multiple lvl up, so the task of mining doesnt seem to be insane and low rewarding: im reaching out for lvl 70 crafting. Im also trying to perfect smith. So ive used the calculators in tip it to see what i need to get these levels. Im mining silver to make tiaras for my crafting. Smelting the silver gives some smith. Mining gives me a lot of gems. I keep em all to level crafting. I also make ammys of em and sell em. This makes me mine gold, wich gives me some more mining and smith. And cash for the ammys sold. Then i make steel bars and turn em nto steel plates. And than i high alch the plates for more profit and... Mage! As high alch gives 65 mage exp per use. This way i level a lot of skills together and feel more compensated for all the work. Plus i arrange my game window to the smallest size i can and read some of my favorite blogs!!! : Best wishes!
  13. Hello! First of all, what is your main objective for all this mining level? If its related to smith, you can forget the word "fast"! If you have objectives on smith then dont ever do powermining ok? The amount of ores to mine to get a lvl 99 smith is already very high, so dont make it even higher. Now if you only want to sell precious ores... 1st - remember that more than one activity requires and rewards mining exp: crafting if youre going to make jewellry; and theres also runecrafting too, althought its a small amount of exp, its still exp, and easy (and profitable for beginners). 2nd - remember the tip.it hint: log into a crowded world, the rocks will reload faster. With that in mind id recomend any good spot for iron. And if you have some good armour and some food in bank, you could use some of the wildy mining spots, theyre usually emptier, and some are really close to the lower lvls wildy limits. Theres a wonderfull coal spot in low lvl wildy wich is great for powerminers, if you can stand the attacks. Another hint: if you stay too long in these areas monsters stop attacking you. it happened to me long ago while i was at a bronze arrow respawn in wildy, full of bears. I just kept collectng the arrows and then they just got bored of me! Best wishes!
  14. Hello! My hints as an F2P whos trying to perfect smith: The Hill Giants cave near varrock. This spot is not too secret thought, as many people seek for it, for different reasons. It has 6 coal stones, 2 Addy, 1 Mith, 3 Irons, 3 Silvers and some copper and tin too. this place can be reached in two ways: - By entering the small hut little north from the bridge that leads to Barbarians Village (from varrock, go north right before crossing the small bridge). This works only if you already have the key. - Or if you dont have the key, dont need to buy one! Simply go to edgeville (north of barbarian village). In there is an abandoned structure. In an area with some coffins you will find a trapdor, go down through it, follow all the way and there you are. Dont forget to take a key copy for yourself before leaving, it respawns in an area with zombies, close to the mining area. Leave by the hut and got to varrock bank to store your ores, its closer. Some other advices: - Dont do powermining if you have the objectve of becoming a smither, you will regret it later for all the work you will have to do to gather materials. Remember that many tasks in ths game involve mining, so level up mining will come naturally. - Leave the mining guild to when you become more experienced in mining. People with lvl 60 mining are like noobs in there. Go get your coal there when youre about 75 or more. Best wishes!
  15. You may do this, and you may regret not keeping some resources for your own use. In the past i helped a friend of mine in some big mining jobs; i've gotten mining exp but today i regret it a bit because i ddn't smelted these ores so hardly mined (and today my goal s perfecting smithing...) So my sugestion is that u negotiate with him and try to keep part of the runes, as u might want to use em to lvl mage or even for sale. Best wishes!
