Introduction

 

Ah fishing, one of the most boring skills, but it is sadly, one of the most important skills! Without it! You can't cook your own food! So if your confused on what fish it is and where to fish it, this guide shall clear things up! Enjoy and post nice comments! This is my Second Guide and hope you all enjoy it! ^.^

 

The basics

 

Fishing requires first of all, a Small fishing net, you get one after Tutorial Island, if you loose it, don't worry, go to port sarim fishing shop and replace it or you can go to catherby or to any place which sells fishing nets. Now if your fishing lvl is 1 and your a non member, well, off to Draynor! But beware of the Dark wizard there, he is Agressive. But if your a Member, go to Catherby Beach via crossing white wolf mountain (Or if done fishing contest, by underground!) It shouldn't take more than a few catches of shrimp to get a level, nothing special really. Keep doing this and Don't bother with lure, keep doing the same course with the net cause it's faster, and you don't need to keep getting feathers or fishing bait cause it's annoying. Once to 30 it's tuna time! These are quite good and good for training!

The Better fish

 

Once you get to 40 it's lobby time! Quite possible the best food (Apart from sharks etc, that's right I know someone was gonna point it out!) Now Lobbies can be fished on Karajama Dock (F2P) and at Catherby (P2P) and at the Fishing Guild (P2P as well). So now you fish lobbies for the time being. If you can get to a point where you can fish monkfish and do swan song, do it, and Fishmonk fish there but don't fish swordies, you can get tuna as well which makes it long. A good way to get fishing lvls up instead of lobbies. Keep doing this till 68 fishing and welcome to...

 

The Fishing Guild

 

That's right! Your new home for fishing! It's a great spot, it's close to a bank and no stupid conversations there too, so you can sit back and have a good time! (I have made alot of freinds at the fishing guild) this is the other place where you can fish sharks, the other place is catherby and that's it! Nowhere else apart from those two places! It's located here!

 

 

The really big fish

 

Once you get 76 fishing, time to fish sharks! Sharks are a good way to make money cause they heal 20 hp per sharks which is nice. If you can't cook them, don't panic, swap your raw for cooked there and it works! A good way to make money too! Then comes the trawler fish. The Sea Turtles and the Manta Rays, if you can cook them, they are very useful but the annoying thing is, Trawler is a Mini game and it's not very popular which is annoying for some.

 

Random Events

 

River Troll:

 

This guy appears when ever you begin to fish and starts to attack you. If you kill it, it drops some useless stuff. But you can get lucky drops.

 

Big Fish:

 

Sometimes, this fish grabs your fishing equipment and sends it somewhere near you.

 

Other Randoms:

 

The fishing guild is full of random events! I got two genies once! So you can get alot of random events in the fishing guild!

 

Other Info

 

If you want to get into the fishing guild without 68, get 65 and drink a fishing potion. If you want to make your own paste, use raw paste, over a fire, range won't work. To look at a whole range of Fish, look at the Runescape Website under Skills section.

Salmon is better XP then lobsters and you get to fish tuna at level 35.

 

Need's a bit more work....

Monkfish are by far the best exp from 62 onwards.

 

 

 

Never fish sharks at 76 fishing.

fishing lobs from 40 - 62...umm..try tuna and salmon much better for exp but money wise lobbys are best

It's ok, but it could bea bit longer and more thorough.

Theres a lot missing namely monkfish tuna swordies and accuarcy there are a few things you need to work on but an ok start

impressive 82 fishing, but some of the info is a bit basic, like i could probably find stuff about randoms on tip.it website
