You do not have to feed or play with your kitten when you keep it in the bank or in your inventory, and it will not run away. But it will not grow, either. When you take your kitten out, make sure you always have an empty inventory spot for it, or it will run away. Your kitten will follow you wherever you go, but it cannot run. Be sure to keep an eye on it because it may get stuck behind a gate, fence or wall.

 

 

 

When you climb ladders and stairs or when you teleport, your kitten will follow you, and you don't have to pick it up. Teleporting includes Teleportation Spells, Dueling Arena, Amulet of Glory, Ring of Life Teleports, Tree Spirits, and Gnome Gliders. This also works if you choose to ride a magic carpet. Your kitten will not get on by itself, but you don't have to pick it up before taking off, either. When you land, your kitten will be right behind you! And they say dogs are smarter...HA! Also, you do NOT have to pick up your kitten if you board a ship. I've tried this myself, and my kitten followed me. Contrary to popular belief, it did not get left behind and (gasp!) die...

 

 

 

Don't panic if you seem to lose track of your kitten for a couple of minutes. It will catch up. If you've been taking good care of it, it won't run away. Check your inventory if it looks like your kitten may have disappeared--kittens are very mischievous, and like to hop into your bag when you're not looking.
