September 4, 200619 yr Are you asking about appearance or function? Obviously if you're ranging or fighting a mage enemy, you would want hides, and for most other scenarios, you would want rune. If you're asking our opinion about how it looks, then that is really up to you. I think, though, that the rune armor has a more complete look to it, while the black hides look more interesting.
