Account Privacy and Security Reminder

The Administrative Team would like to take this oppurtunity to remind our users on a few steps to safegaurd themselves from scams and internet threats.

Unfortunately there will always be dishonest users that will take any approach they can at obtaining your personal or account details.

A few tips to help our users to avoid these attempts would be:

Keep your email address hidden! Setting "Always show my email address" to 'Yes' in your profile makes this information available to ANYONE who browses our forums.

MSN , ICQ , AIM - These profile options are also public when used. If you don't want users you don't know contacting you through instant messaging , then leave these fields blank.

We will not take any responsibility for other members contacting you outside the forum should you choose to make these details available to the public.

Never post any personal information on the forums , not only is it against our forum rules, it is also very dangerous! If another user posts such details or requests this information from you, report it ( ) to our moderator team. If such a request is made through private messages , please use the quote function and forward it to an Adminstrator so the matter can be looked into.

And of course as always , NEVER click a link to an external website or file if you are unsure of it's content. If you feel a link may be threatening , please report it ( ) to our moderator team so that it can be checked and removed if necessary.
