New Off Topic Rules! READ Before Posting!!

Recommended Posts

As usual the forum gods have collected some rules for all staff and proud followers of Tip.it to obey, let us not waste any time and get to those.

SEARCH before posting!

Always search the boards before posting a new thread, if there's a thread about the subject already, use that and bump it if needed (so just writing "bump" because you like the subject is -not- allowed.)

In addition to that, when creating a new thread about your own personal site here, make sure to only make 1 thread for it, and bump it whenever it's needed (and thus probably updated).

No Referal Links!

Referal links are links such as clickwars. A clickwar gives you points for example if different people click on it, or you create an army of zombies, whatever it gives you, it's a referal link thus it is not allowed to post here.

No Real Life Pictures!

Real life pictures are not allowed to be posted in public, this due to the fact you can never be sure about your security on the internet and bad things have happened before, this is for your own safety. If someone only knows the town you live in and that person has got your real life picture it's very easy to find you, for good or bad purposes.

The real life pictures rule is expanded upon here - http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=420302

No Pointless Polls!

If you create a poll always search the boards before posting to make sure it hasn't been posted before (Not just when you create a poll!) and ask yourself if it has got any use, be sure to cover all answers with the least possible poll-options. These pointless polls include - Coke vs. Pepsi, Do you like milk?, Are these forums good?, and the rest you can figure out for yourself. If you have any questions about polls in general, contact a moderator via private message.

Do NOT Name Names!

These are NOT Official Runescape Forums and we're not endorsed or sanctioned by Jagex in any way. Therefore we can NOT help you if you were scammed or hacked etc, all posts about hackings etc MAY be removed by any Moderator without notice. Naming names is a definite NO. This due to the fact people might post fake threads and accuse people of things they did not do, we can not check what is true and what happened and therefore we do NOT allowed accusing people of hacking or scamming etc.

Don't Post Any Pornographic Material!

Any pornographic material is not allowed on the forums, anything you doubt whether you can post it or not on this matter, don't post it! Posting any pornographic stories, pictures or anything else will lead into an IMMEDIATE ban.

Do NOT Discriminate!

Posts that are disparaging toward any religion, race, nation, gender, or sexual orientation are strictly forbidden.

Appropriate Language Required!

Please always use proper language and -always- post in English, any other language is allowed IF there is a proper translation posted too, if we find out the "other" language says something different than the translation states, action will be taken. Also always try to use proper punctuation (Dots, comma's, capital letters etc). Using too many capital letters is considered as shouting or being generally rude, don't do it!

Do NOT Infringe Any Copyrights!

Do not post any material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner. Remote linking to pictures or images on commercial websites without their consent is stealing and won't be tolerated.

Our Policy On Homework Help

Asking for help with homework is fine - feel free to do that. What we don't allow is asking for direct answers or subtley asking, "How would you do this one problem?" General explanations about homework may be given but threads asking for direct answers to problems will be locked.

Last but not least!

Have fun, post around and as long as you obey these rules we will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible!

Of course all these rules go alongside with the General Tip.it Forum Rules.
