whtgandalf
:wall: :wall: i plant two fields at same time and pay the npc to watch..one field comes in on time the other takes up to 15 minutes longer. Anyone know why this is?? As i am wasting runes jumping around between allotments and hops patches
Jake_Corsair
The times listed for growing are an average time. Sometimes it might be done sooner, and sometimes a bit later. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
Mordendravid
You've just missed the farming cycle with your second "field" that's all... basically once every 15 mins or so there is a farming cycle (where weeds regrow and herbs, crops etc grow one phase) if you plant your first crop 1 minute before the phase completes and then go and plant another crop after that phase completes then your second crop will be 1 phase (hence 15mins -ish) behind your first crop! Hope that makes sense! If you're in any doubt - or just want to test this theory, try planting a tree seed in a plant pot, water it and if it changes to sapling before you plant your second crop you know the farming cycle has just completed... willyhenriksen
I think the growing time is only accurate if you use supercompost R.I.P. Shiva and Steve
whtgandalf
thanks that helps.. is the cycle every 15 min on the quarter hour or is it off by a few... i wish there was a timer you could see so you plant both patches on the same cycle
Jake_Corsair
Not sure if it's a constant (I believe it might be), but what you can do is go to your first plot and rake the weeds. Then wait for the first batch of weeds to come back. That will be the start of that cycle. Then hurry and plant and tele all of your seeds. That should get you within the same cycel for all of them. Mordendravid
I think the growing time is only accurate if you use supercompost Nope, sorry super compost has no effect on growing time only on the amount of crop that you can harvest once grown (increased) and the chances of your crop dying (decreased). The growing times are accurate to within the 15min cycle i.e. if you plant your crop in minute 1 of the cycle it will take 14 mins longer than if you plant in minute 14 as in the latter example you only have to wait 1min to complete that cycle. Therefore something that takes 5 cycles to grow would take between 61 and 74 mins to grow... NB I am using the 15mins as an example, I can't remember off the top of my head exactly how long each cycle takes to complete - if anyone knows exactly, please feel free to update.
