Guthix_Girl
ok, give me mercy here... these are my first pixel works , i know they arent good.. but do they at least earn the title of 'ok'? tell me whatchya think.. (look at av and sig to see what im talkin about) EDIT: here is the new edited sig. what do you all think of this one? i think it is much better than the first, and i fixed some of the things that people suggested. Thanks for the constructive critisism people. New version: Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.
the_trinity_11
Ummm it's alright...i suppose, no need for anybody to be mean. But umm..I don't see much shading on the sig, the mountains look weird because you used the lign tool and there's no detail on them :-k PLAY this awesome game...Clicky
Guthix_Girl
i did use shading but its really hard to get the right touch on a flat screen (i have horrible vision)... i dont have much of an eye for detail in cases such as that Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive. imhomer
Ok, first off let me say this, 'tis not bad. Not really bad at least. Here are a few tips: You saved the avatar as a low-quality .jpg. This is a big no no :shame:. Always save pixels as a .png like you did with the sig. You also use the pencil tool to make the pumpkin but didn't clean up your lines. You want the lines to look like this: .....@@@@ @@..........@@ Not like this: @@@...@@@ .....@@@ Congrats on being a reasonable first timer who uses off palette colors =D>. Off palette colors that have a little bit of grey in them are good. Moving on to the sig, the sky is really bad. Night skies aren't grey, they're dakr blue (ever heard of midnight blue?). Your stars are really badly done and it looks like you got lazy with them. For all intents and purposes of pixelling, stars are symmetrical. The mountains aren't bad but the give no sense of depth. It looks like one big zig-zag line. Extend some of the lines to make them look more overlapped. Finally shading. Please, please, please shade. I see you shaded the mountains which is good but the shading is a little light and could use a larger contrast of colors to get a better effect. The pumpkins in the sig are shaded but the shading is inverted, it should be darker in the furrows and lighter on the main part of the pumpkin. The sky needs at least a littl bit of shading even if there is no moon. For the pumpkin in your avatar, please shade at least a little. 4 or 5 colors should do it good. Guthix_Girl
well, the sky was supposed to be like overcast evening... it was really hard to do the stars, i couldnt get my hand to stop shaking. i didnt do so well on the avatar, i know that... i wasnt exactly sure how to do the mountains with depth, but ill try to figure it out later Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.
