Maczeii
Is it possible to kill the Dagannoth with melee and without prayer pots? (combat 75) or should I kill it with range or magic? :| 1st goal: 2nd goal: Designed for Life
game_proffy
First time I tried, I used all sorts of magic, range and melee too. But it was so cumbersome I nearly got killed. While you adjust the weaponry, time will pass! In the end I resolved to ranging+ meleeing (with melee being the main damage dealer). You will need lots of food though. I suggest at least lobs, but Swordfish, Monkfish or taters will be better.
Saskia Snow
you really need to kill it with mage, melee and range. I done this quest at lvl 68 combat, 34 range and 50 mage. you should find this easy. The reason you need all methods of combat is because it changes colour and the different colours for different attacks. This is the order and type of attack needed: white: air spell blue: water spell orange: melee brown: earth spell red: fire spell green: range you probebly wont need prayer pots either, I didnt. I ate about 5 lobbies that was all and I didn't do earth spells. I hope this helps saskia snow Old 'Scaper - returned * Former TET Leader * Council of Elders Member * Confirmed Scaredy Cat * Mother of 6 * Quester * Friend to many

game_proffy
Full mystic? Stop kidding me! It has acurate ranged based attacks, so I suggest you use rune or at least dragonhide. If you DO use magic, you can exchange rune plate with chain, and large with med. However, I find magic to be too cumbersome to use (but that's just me). At least, when I fought Gelatinoth Mother in Recipe For Disaster, first time I tried to use magic, range and melee, but died to it. Magic boosting equipment has too little defense! Then I threw on my full torags and whipped/ranged it to death. Many lobs used though.
SLR
I just did it, lvl 74 then. I used half a inventory of lobs, i brought full rune, zammy robes as armour and the usual stuff, elemental shield or whatever. The about 50 bloods to be safe, or round the same amount of deaths. 50 arrows - addy, a D scimmy, MSB and that was it. No pray pots used. Just switch to the mage armour when he is the right colour, and you will be mostly maging him since the majority is magic spells as a weakness. Pretty easy.
