it looks sort of flat.... shade it more, add more perspective in your dock. Look into perspective drawing for things like docks, make a vanishing point. For starting out you should probably use different angles anyways. Make easy to do angles like facing the dock so it looks like this

it needs chading and 3d elements, the pier needs to be fat and not look like paper!
