can you only hurt a vampire juvinate by using a sickle? Is there any easier way to defeat the vampires?

i killed 1 with a whip once but it was alot harder than using a sickle.

 

 

 

I tried at 75 combat but it was too hard for me. Went back at 90 combat with str and att pots and it was alot easier.
