zonda
ne help? no1 has even bothered to look? Everyone in T&C helps based purely on good will, it's not as if we are being paid to answer your questions. On top of that, despite us being geek and nerds, we do have lives, or at least would like to think so. As far as your problem, it could either be an issue with the shortcut pointing to the wrong target, or something has corrupted your WMP. First, check the short cut by right clicking it, going to properties, and looking at the target, it should be "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer[Caution: Executable File] If not, change it. If that isn't the problem, your going to have to uninstall WMP 11. Doing so will automatically revert it back to WMP 10. To do this, go to start >> settings >> control panel >> add / remove programs. Once there make sure you have the "shot windows updates" option checked, now you'll have to figure out which "hotfix" is the update to WMP 11, I would suggest doing a google or going to the microsoft website. Once you uninstall it, like I said, it will go back to WMP 10. It should be able to start just fine now. When it starts, it will ask you if you want to update... doesn't matter, you can either choose 'no' and use the outdated version, or click 'yes' and hope it works this time, and if it doesn't... well at least you'll know how to uninstall it. If WMP 10 doesn't start, then you'll have to revert to 9 or use your windows cd to completely remove it and reinstall it. ...
