Vito_Blade
Okay. I recently got FF 2.0 (sorry Opera, theres just way to many thingas supporting FF) and am not used to it. I used to have it, but it updated and wouldn't work, so I got Opera. Then FF 2.0 came out and I decided to see if would work where FF 1 didn't. Anyways, I want to know if its possible to make the Bookmarks Bar look like this: So basically I want the bookmarks tab to be only icons, and to be to the right of the address bar. I also like to shorten the address bar and take away the Google search bar: Is this possible in Firefox? Liquid_Morph
As for making the Bookmarks Toolbar icons only, I'm not sure, however, as for the Google part, just right-click a part of the toolbar at the top and go on "Customize..." then just drag the Google toolbar off. Vape
Sure is :D Right click on the bookmarks in question, select properties, and change the name to nothing. Then right click on the the toolbars somewhere (or view -> toolbars -> customise) and drag the bookmarks toolbar options to the RHS of the location bar (yes it's called the location bar in Firefox, as opposed to the address bar in IE.) Then drag the search bar into the customise toolbar window. I predict you'll end up with a grey bar across the screen with nothing in it - right click on it and click "Bookmarks toolbar" (it should have a tick next to it) and it will go away. You can also unselect it by going to view -> toolbars. Any other questions, feel free to ask me Where the bloody hell are you?

Vito_Blade
Ah ok, well being the lazy person I am, I'll just use it like it is now. The customizability of this browser is amazing. Thanks for the help! "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here. Viktorkrum77
Reagrding Firefox, I'll ask here, I don't want to start a new thread. Sometime while I'm typing, I'll hite the ' key and the keyword search will pop up at the bottom, and it won't go away, so I can't write isn't and have to write is not. What am I clicking? Why is this happening? And how can I solve it? Me doing staff.
Vape
Try tools -> options -> advanced -> general ->accessibility. Ensure "Search for text when I start typing" is unchecked. This should not occur when you are typing in a web form, if it is, something is up.. could be some advert stealing focus from the form or something.. I'm not sure. What version of Firefox are you using? Where the bloody hell are you?

Vape
Further to my previous advice, if the find bar does come up, you can press ESC to get rid of it. You could try updating to Firefox 2.. perhaps there's some minor bug that's been fixed now... Where the bloody hell are you?
zonda
this happens to me, if I have 2 windows of FF open (but really, it's random), rather then using tab, if I try typing in google or any text box for that matter, the find text thing shows up - so I have to close the 2nd window and make a tab for google in orgional window. Kind of annoying, but not enough so that I care to figure out what causes it or attempt to fix it. ...

Vito_Blade
Might aswell rename this. :) If you don't like your name in the title, ask. I'll take it out. "We'll bring the sexy back to judging >_>." --Nadril Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here. I don't know everything about Firefox, and there's occasions when other people will be able to shed light on things that I can't :P Where the bloody hell are you?
