Making money on my PKer, what to do?

Featured Replies

On my former merchanting account I was merchanting feathers, but since the price drop of feathers, this method has become insufficient.

A few times I have thought about doing bars/ ores, but when logging on different worlds to see how this would work out, I noticed that:

1. There were barely any sellers

And 2. The few sellers there were were selling for full price

So that lead me to decline this idea.

I thought of doing big bones, but saw that everyone else had the same intentions.

Armour/ weapons worked pretty good for me on my main account when he was P2p, but my PKer is F2p and armour/ weapon merchanting does not work so greatly.

I merchanted cowhides on my main account for a while, but the money was slow and I don't believe it is worthwhile to try again.

I was going to try runes and arrows, but found that they were slow and horrible income (atleast arrows were, I never tried runes, but can only expect the same).

Those are some methods I've tried and/or declined.

Some intel:

I am looking for a way to make fast, and easy money (of course) that is always reliable and I can use to make some money whenever I am in need.

I currently have 50k, so I may need to merchant something little at the beginning and work my way up.

I was pondering on the fact of getting 85 mining and use this to mine rune ores, is this worthwhile or should I merchant something instead?

Reason I need the money- Looking to get 60+ range, 59+ magic, a Rune two hander, have the ability to buy 1k cooked lobsters for training/ PKing at any time I may need.

My account: I Was Lvl 1

I am F2p

------

Some Background:

I seem horrible at PKing, so far I have lost 400k worth of weapons and 700 lobsters wasted.. how many times did I actually get a kill? Once, a few days ago, and all I got was an iron helm and kite.

Those are the reasons I need money, I need to train so I can actually start getting some kills, but I can't train unless I have food, and since fishing takes to long on F2p, I need money to purchase the food (and runes and arrows).

Stay away from 85 mining, it's not worth it anymore.

Best way to make money would be to collect unids (id ranarrs) or connect b bones if you're F2P (best way is to range giants).

Most other ways require higher skills, and there's no point lvling up skills on a pure, since that's what a main is for

B Bones, are you crazy? that's horribly slow money! And Hill giants are over-crowded with bad experience gains.

I don't have a main, he's disabled until I pay for 1 month of membership (which I don't feel like spending money on).

Even if I had my main still, I don't think I'd be attempting to get myself banned by drop-trading on it. <.<

This topic is in need of a bump as I have not yet recieved any results.

By reading your background I'd say you are not one of the most experinced pure PK:ers(presuming that you area a pure pk:er, not many others around these day) I have some tips that I could give you, for example, if you have high strength level but lower attack level. I'd suggest that you challenge people to no armor fights, requiring that both of you have full rune in inventory but 200k cash would be preferred to disable the chance of cheating.

I made you a list of the equipment you should have for this:

rune scimitar, rune 2h (only take this if you trust your skills as a quick switcher), strength potion, 200k cash or full rune, tele gear or skull scepter, wearing monk robes, rest of your inventory should be filled with lobsters/swordfish.

If you don't want to do pk at all, I would suggest killing zombies in the 2nd floor of SoS(Stronghold of Security, located in Barbarian village) the zombies there drop a random amount of steel arrows 5-15. You can either save the arrows or collect a stack of 1k and then sell for 40-65k this is also good training for melee.

I would say the most useful option you have is to become P2P, but seeing as you stated you don't have the money...

I would say range lessers on karamja. Good drops like rune meds are alc-able for 10k each. They also offer a good variety of other drops and have pretty horrible defense at their level. Ranging them also provides you with valuable xp.
