Hidden system volume information folder

biohazardous

Recommended Posts

Just recently whilst trying to help someone else with a problem i discovered a hidden folder on my hard drive, never seen it before and it won't let me access it even though i am admin...

I go to my computer, double click.

And a hidden folder called 'System Volume Information' is in there and I can't access it?

I haven't tried drastic means of accessing it yet but I want to know if it's normal first.

Ive ran a scan on it (using AVG) and nothing came up, however, virii being virii usually have there infected files/process well imbeded in you windows mainframe....

PS i have jsut recently cam in close of filling my hardrive if that would mean anything to it.

Please, if you know anything about it tell me or if you have it to.

I'm not saying its bad, just never seen it there before.

(You will need show hidden files and folders ticked in tools>folder options>view.)

Thanks for your time =)
