It was in a big scary house and I was right behind my brother, but he wasn't scared at all in the big mansion with it's spiders and the sound of ghosts! Or wait a minute... those weren't ghost-- those were other warriors doing a quest, but they were talking about a magic place. We listened to their conversation, but very soon they noticed us, they told us to pay 2500gp and they would lead us the way to a magic place with many experienced warriors, mages, and hero's I told my brother not to pay them-- they could take us deep in the wilderness and kill us. My foolish brother accepted the deal and the two warriors ran. We stood there completely amazed As we ventured further to do the quest, we stumbled on a chicken called Ernest, who could talk. We saw a big machine, it which broken and there was an old man telling us to get parts to get the machine back working. My brother searched hours for the parts and I helped him. It was a rough adventure, but finally we had all parts. We went back to the old man and he fixed the machine, turning Ernest back into a human. Ernest rewarded us with some gold and a stone. When we got back out of the mansion we went to our tent to sleep. I couldn't sleep, I was pondering about the stone Ernest gave us. It was 11pm and I went to take a walk. Behind some trees I saw an animal and I could swear it was a unicorn, but I was getting tired and it was hard to see if was a horse or a unicorn. So I went back to my tent to take a quick rest. 16 September 2003 As soon as I woke up I called to my brother, who was very angry at me. But I told him that I saw a unicorn, and he didn't belive me. I showed him the place where I saw the unicorn, but all we saw were bears But then my brother noticed a small white stone on the floor. A bear was guarding the stone and as we came closer we saw things carved into the stone. My brother killed the bear and I took the stone. Very soon I felt a burning feeling going trough my veins-- it wasn't hurting me-- I felt power. "If only we knew what to do with these rocks", said my brother. We ventured further into the woods, and saw four people, a warrior, a wizard, and archer and a monk. As we came closer the wizard commanded us to stop as he saw a glowing force from the back of my backpack. He opened it, took out the stone, and yelled: "runes!! runes!!" He asked me if he could have them and my brother said he would trade them for a weapon. The wizard agreed and gave him a red sword, which my brother had problems lifting. The wizard laughed, took it back and gave him a lighter sword made from mithrill. I asked the wizard if he had a quest for us-- he said no, but when we walked away he called us back and said that he might know some one that has a quest. He didn't know where that person was, but he told us that it was somewhere close to a horse with a horn Now I was sure that I saw a unicorn, so I ran back to the place where I saw the unicorn. I saw nothing but trees and the corpse of a bear getting eaten by flies. I walked closer to the corpse, the flies flew away, and they were hiding in a tree stump I was going to catch some of those flies with my pail because when it's dark those flies give you light. When I walked close to the tree stump I saw a green thingy sticking out of it. I grabbed it and there was a leprechaun under the hat who told me to let him go and he would reward me I opened my hand and the leprechaun fell on the ground saying he would give me a magic staff if I would get him two dramen branches. I agreed , and when I walked back to the wizard I saw my brother sleeping in one of the tents I couldn't sleep and the wizard was still awake too. I asked him where could I find dramen branches and he told me somewhere on a magic island. The wizard also gave me some runes and told me that these would be a great help. I wonder why the wizard went to sleep too now. Me? I still wasn't tired-- too exited about everything-- so I went to search the docks so I could get to the magic island. All the people were sleeping and I got lost. Some where far on the water I saw some lights and as I walked closer saw a big blue tower. I knocked on the door and the door opened itself. No one was there and I went to the last floor and saw a big evil monster! I fainted. 17 September 2003 The next morning I woke up and saw the big evil monster again. But now I noticed it was behind bars. I went to the first floor again, but now I noticed a trapdoor behind the stairs. I opened the trapdoor and entered the cave. I saw people in blue suits that they looked a lot like the wizard I met yesterday. I also saw a big skull that was shining like silver. When I lifted the skull a giant skeleton came out of nowhere and attacked me, kicking me, and I fainted. When I woke back up I heard a big sound-- it was my brother bashing up the skeleton! I ran out of the building with my brother followed me. He told me that the wizard had teleported him there. My brother also gave me the shining skull. As soon as I had it in my both hands I felt a cold feeling trough my veins-- I felt weak after this and my brother had to carry me. He took me to a farmer he knew, saying I could rest there and the farmer treated me well. I had my strength back in no time and he gave me a pail with pure water. He told me if I if got in trouble I had to drink this. I also asked the farmer if he knew the way to the docks and he explained it to me, but I was confused and my brother was confused too. He told us that he would show the way to the docks for some gold, we paid him with the gold Ernest gave us. Finally we came on the docks and my brother asked me why I had to go here. I told that a small thing gave me a quest and my brother was angry that I hadn't told him before, but the farmed cooled him down, wished us good luck and returned back to his house. I told my brother we had to search for a boat to a magic island. He laughed very hard and said: "There is no magic island, magic doesn't exist!" A monk came to us and told us that there is a magic island, but you had to give your weapons and armour to him if you wanted a free ride. My brother and I had no money, so no boat ride for us. The monk noticed the skull that I had in my hand and he told me that I could go if I gave him that skull. I agreed, and my brother told me to come back tonight to the farmers house. I went on the trip and I felt magic powers through my veins when I stepped on the boat. The powers were getting stronger the further he sailed. Finally the boat stopped and I looked out of the window seeing things I couldn't even imagine: fire birs, rocks with different colors, and people making things. I also noticed a unicorn and I went closer for a good look-- yup! definitely a unicorn-- I wasn't hallucinating after all, I was right all the time! I walked further up north saw some monks, and I walked up and asked them what they were doing. They said that a monk fell trough the ground right here and asked me if I was brave enough to take a look. I had no choice-- I slipped on the mud and fell down the hole! Bones were everywhere and I was getting scared, but somehow I wasn't that scared anymore I walked further and saw the living dead-- the monk was half dead and getting eaten by those-- things! I saw a hatchet from bronze materials and chopped off their heads. I was surprised I could do this and I went back to the entrance where the other monks lowered a ladder. I let the injured monk go first and when he was up, the hole closed and the ladder disappeared! I was getting worried and I stood there thinking. But I had to go and venture deeper into the cave. Behind a corner I heard loud creepy sounds and I went to take a look. More of those red evil monsters that I saw in the blue tower, only this time they were bigger and not behind bars! When I looked closer I saw a shining tree. I realized this was the tree where I had to cut a branch off I grabbed my hatchet, ran past those evil monsters but they hit me and I was injured badly. I drank a bit of the potion that the farmer gave me and I felt better. I walked to the tree, swung my hatchet and I got attacked by a spirit that I believe was guarding this tree. When he was attacking me I felt the weird powers through my veins, and the runes were glowing. I took them out of my backpack and threw them at the spirit! Nothing happened, but as soon as they were on the floor and my hands were opened and a big white bolt came in my hands. The power was so strong that I had to release the bolt. I released it and it hit the spirit-- the spirit disappeared and the runes were destroyed. I grabbed my hatchet and cut two branches off the tree. I tried to put them in my backpack, but there was no room left, so I took out the other runes. They were to heavy for my so I threw them on the floor where they exploded and then I was at another location! I must have been teleported! I was back where I met the wizard for the first time. He laughed a bit and asked if I had fun, then disappeared. I went to talk to the archers, warriors and monks about my adventure and about the wizard. They laughed at me and said, "There is no magic island, there was no wizard here with us!" I walked away from them and went back to the tree stump where the leprechaun was hiding. As I came closer, he jumped out of the tree took my two branches, and started to work on them with a knife. He gave me a staff-- the staff he promised me-- and he told me I had completed my quest and I had to use my staff to open a door somewhere in a swamp. He also gave me a book but it was getting late and I totally forgot about my brother. I ran back to the farm, but my brother wasn't there. I wasn't worried-- I thought he was hunting maybe... or something else, so I took a nap. 18 September 2003 I woke up and went to the other room and saw my brother but I didn't wake him up. I wanted to search the door and the swamps, but first I read the book. The book told me about three gods-- the wizard I met looked a lot like one of those gods! I turned some pages and saw a picture of a swamp with a little shack. Maybe this was the place the leprechaun was talking about? When I closed the book, the book turned into dust, and the dust was flying away. I followed it, and after three hours of walking I noticed that the ground under my feet was getting unstable. I also smelled something. As I neared some swamps, the dust disappeared. I walked further and I saw the shack , it wasn't hard to find. I took my staff out of my backpack, I opened the door and I was teleported to a new world, called RuneVillage!
