My School Art Mask Project

Featured Replies

Ok, so in school, we are doing an art project. We've to design, and make masks on a chosen catagory.

I've chosen for the robot style. I've got two designs that I've drew up that I quite like, but I'd also like to know what you all though was the best of the two.

I have other designs, but they're not too practical...

So, what do you all think is the better of the two?

(Please base your choice not only on the look of the mask, but on how comlicated they are to make as well.)

EDIT: On the first picture, try to ignore the face under the mask. The teacher gave us all a template to work around... <.<

EDIT2: I only have about 6 more classes of art to finish this... :ohnoes:

That's what I am doing. Standard grade art, only it's a full face mask.

^^ TY SO MUCH FOR THE SIG, PINK!! <3<3

Add me on MSN whenever you feel like talking, about anything.

It is like playing monopoly, and refusing to build hotels, incase you're called a "Hotel noob", as it might give you an unfair advantage.

Not yet, I'll try and get a few when I'm back in school.

For now, I'll describe where I am. I've had my face plastered, so I have a mould of my face, and I've added a curved top area for the top of the head. I've added chicken wire around the top area coming downwards, and cut spaces out for the ears. I've then covered all of it in yellow (the lightest colour, so I can spray paint it) tissue paper.

I've still to add the areas on the mouth, ears, and eyes, then finish it all off with a cover or PVA, then a good spray painting of grey and silver paint.

Well, so far, I could use where I've got for both masks, but I think I'm edging towards the first one.
