I'm a F2P player trying to get to 70 Magic from 60 and I plan on using Fire Strike as my method of attack. I was just wondering if there's any way to tell how many Mind runes I'll need to buy in order to make it to my goal. Is there any kind of calculator that can give a pretty decent guess or can someone give me a good guess on how many you think I'll need?

Hitting an average of 4, which gives 19.5 xp per cast. If you manage 4 damage per cast about 23,523 casts.

Okay thank you. I suppose 20k Mind Runes would be okay, but I think I'd better buy 10k first and see where that puts me before I buy another 10k.

I'd just try the Magic Calculator here, then buying about 1000 fewer casts than they advise, since they are calculated by splashing, not counting damage. Good luck.
