December 13, 200619 yr Ok, this has happened to me at least twice over the last six months. I go to enter my pin into the bank and it tells me that my pin change has been canceled. I have not asked/or reguested a pin change. Is this a sign that someone has been trying to hack me, and if so why whould a hacker initiate a bank pin change and then cancel it. I just realized I canceled my bank pin and created a new one which doesn't take effect for 7 days (So im unprotected for 7 days). So could this be what the hacker is doing , already having hacked the main login password, geting people to cancel pin numbers, so the account is unprotected. I've allready changed my main password. Hope this makes sense. "The world is an illusion created by a conspiracy of our senses." Roger Penrose

December 13, 200619 yr I can't understand how the hacker would be given an advantage by what you're saying. Of all things, it would make things worse since the owner of the account would feel as if their account is at risk and therefore change their main password, probably causing the hacker to not longer be able to even access your account. Of all things, it could have been an accident. The hacker could have gained access to your account, hoped to change your PIN so you couldn't access your bank, realized it wouldn't take affect for 7 days and then cancel it. Whether or not the hacker canceled the PIN change or not, your account would still be unprotected. A good way to find out if this was a hacker or not would be to check the IP addresses. After you log on and there is that screen with helpful hints and such, it shows the IP address of the last person who gained access to your account. If the IP address is not your own, you have something to worry about. If it isn't, then you should be fine. Obviously this is too late for this particular scenario, but it's a good hint for the future. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

December 13, 200619 yr Author Yes, I've heard of IP thing but use multiple computers (IP address's) to play (I must be more diligent, I know) Also, what can a person do if they do notice and record the offending IP address? Will Jagex do anything? I'm aware of sites you can pay to find out IP info, but am unaware of any that offer the service for free? Oh, and thanks for the quick reply!!!!!!! It will say your IP address, and then your ISP (internet service provider). It is unlikely that you have the same ISP as your hacker, especially if they live in a different country or region, and all of the computers you use (assuming they're all in your house) should have the same ISP.
