I like it :) I like the colour tone a lot. The text really works with the image, I think. The image and style text have the same.. 'feel' I guess, for a lack of a better phrase.. :P

Something about all the black bugs me though, but I can't really put my finger on it. Perhaps make a more subtle fade? If you know what I mean.

Overall nice job :)

add another b&w gradient to focus the light a bit more if you want my oppinion. then again, im not a huge fan of the cad method... it lacks depth and flow. a few good things that you can learn from that tutorial that you should continue to use

-gradients are a great way to focus your lighting. use them.

-great coloring method. combine it witha few different gradient maps, and you can get some great color.

-scaling the render. oh so important... i hate huge sigs with 90% render, 9 % border, and 1% them using two brushes and setting them on different blending modes.

-use of different blending modes. experiment with them, they are your frends.

-brushing. great brushing tequneques. defanantly use those.

some things that the cad method doesnt teach you

-depth, use effects and patterns such as scanlines, the line&stroke method, chequerbord pattern, and dots to add depth, and give you the feel of depth.

-flow. this you just have to kinda figure out yourself. you have to find a direction that the sig is going, and create effects around it. for instance, that sig has a verticle render, so create patterns that flow with it, in the same direction, and work around that.

borders. (not sure if this is covered in the cad method) cenmatic borders are always nice with a sig like that. i sugest you learn how to use them even if they dont fit with everything. dont get me wrong tho, 2 pix black is fine.

thats it for now, but do me a favor, at least listen to some of my advice instead of just ignoring it?

wop wop
