Ok well for my birthday (9th December) I got my new PC. Nice gaming comp, but i'm not here to show the specs (unless you need them). Well anyway I have a few problems with the net displaying images.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well if I go to a topic where someone has shown an image, it won't show unless it was in the codes. Now of course thats normal, but if the image also has the codes aswell, the picture won't display. I know this because when I quote the persons text (to see if they did post an image) it has the URL and IMG codes in the image link. So basically, if the image had the following coding:

[img=http://runepixels.com/uimages6/dr3wbie.PNG]

 

 

 

it works. If it is like this:

[url=http://runepixels.com][img=http://runepixels.com/uimages6/dr3wbie.PNG][/url]

 

 

 

It won't show. I have no idea why. Typing up to where I am now I was using Firefox 1.5.0.8, but decided to get Firefox 2.0 to see if it resolved the problem. Well, it didn't. I've been through the options on Firefox but couldn't really find any options which would be causing the problem. I also tried Opera and IE, but both have the same problem. I doubt it's my firewall, but if its relevant i'm using ZoneAlarm Pro (It's a trial though).

My other problem, well, annoyance is I am trying to work out how to start up my PC from the BIOS (which I could proberly find a guide through google anyway, so ignore that part) so it can load up at a certain time in the morning, log in my user (password protected) then run an alarm clock that's on my user which is set to go off at a specfic time. I'm just wondering if that's even possible, because of the user thing.

Edit: Also I forgot to mention, animated GIF's don't animate. Thought I should throw that in.

I'm guessing zonealarm firewall's ad blocking settings are set too high. If you have Zonealarm, check out the settings :)
