Weapon acuracy

Featured Replies

I was wondering if any knows if certain melee weapons are more likly to hit or hit high than otheres. I've heard someone say that while b-axes are faster than a 2h the 2h is more accurate, and I now im wondering if certain weapons are more accurate.

I've personaly found that a rune scimatar is more likly to hit someone in the wildy than the rune b-axe but that was only on one person so does anyone know?

Attack bonus means accuracy of the weapon

all teh attack bonuses are the accuracy in that attack style, I thought it was damage, or is it both?

-sigh- the bonuses mean

attack - how often you hit

defence - how often you get hit

strength - how high you hit

prayer - how long your prayer lasts

and attack styles basicly only affect what stat you want to train

Actually, it's a little bit more complicated than that...

Attack style does determine how exp is given out to your Atk, Str, and Def stats, true,

but it also determines what, well, Attack to use.

And the effectiveness of that attack depends, partly, on the Defensive armor of your enemy.

For example, a city guard wears chain mail.

Chain mail is more vulnerable to stab attacks than it is to slash attacks.

So the most effective attack to use on a guard is the Stab attack.

Now if you look at the style available to the Scimmy and Longsword you see that

the scimmy only has a stab attack available in the controlled style .

So if you wanted to train in a controlled style with a scimmy,

you end up using the scimmy in it's weakest fighting mode.

If you look at the longsword, then you see that the controlled style is stab,

and for the longsword, the stab is almost as good as the slash.

Now you can go and research the defenses of monsters, the strengths of sword,

and the training styles available for any particular combination.

But, the bottom line is that you really need to know

-- what your enemy is weak against

-- what your weapon is strong in

-- what training styles support the strength of your weapon

if you want to be an effective fighter.

Hope this helps
