Orange Salamanders or chinchompas?

Featured Replies

I heard chinch's were good xp, but for some reason I cant seem to find a good spot that would make them faster xp than orange salamanders...Any tips?

Personally I hated oranges. Traps failed way to often and then your also in the desert. I didn't discover chimchompas until I had moved onto reds. When I did find chimchompas I found a spot that seemed to work well for me. It was south of the fairy ring just north of a deadfall trap. It was positioned in between several chimchompa respawns. Just lay the traps out in a row, no need to space, bait or smoke. Once I got started I was busy keeping traps open.

The nicest thing about chimchompas is that they stack so you don't have to worry about your inventory filling up and then releasing which slows you down. Oh and did I mention there not in the desert so no waterskins or going to find water to keep training? I don't know if they are actually faster than oranges (especially if you can only place three traps) but the fact that they are not in the desert is makes them a lot easier to train.
