Hey all,

I'm currently looking into upgrading my graphics card. At the moment i have Geforce 6600GT and it runs most games fine, but I'd like to be able to play newer games on higher settings. I was wondering what would be better, a new card or another 6600GT and SLI them?

My price range would be $200 - $250AUD

Thanks.

Hey, I just upgraded from a 6600GT to a 7950GT. It's great.

Though, it was about $315 AUD..

I wouldn't throw them in SLI. Most GeForce 6600GTs only have DirectX 1.5 support, 8 pipelines, etc.

I'd say try a GeForce 7600GT. Maybe you can find a cheap GeForce 7900GT for around $250 AUD. It's worth the extra money, though.

Diminished2b, where did you get that 7950GT? That's sssssssoooooooooooo cheap for Australia.

Anyway, the cheapest 7900GT I could find was $350. But I found a 7600GT for $183 at my favourite shop.

I took a look at the site you want to buy from and found this. This would be a great card for you, will handle most games with minimal problems and the 7900GS's are just good cards. So yeah, this card is the one I would take.
