January 7, 200719 yr okay heer it goes. yesterday my computer worked just fine. now when ever I start it up it wont reconize the modem. the only way I have found so far to get it reconised is to restart the computer. this seems a little bit odd to say the least. I dont think its a virus but I may do anouther scan just to be safe. anouther strange thing thats happend at the same time is I cant connect to the won server for online play of a game called homeworld I like to play online. this has coincided precisely with the modem problems. I tried reinstaling the drivers but that hasent worked. I might as well tell you this is not the only problem my computer has. its at least 5 years old and has a nasty habit of comeing out of stand by when you least expect it. it also has a old habit going back about a year of just giveing a black screen and restarting a miniute or so latter when comeing out of stand by around one time in 20.
