I Just did my first serious pixel image, and I added some special effects using "GIMP" any pointers? :D

that is not a pixel image, you used some sort of gradient and filters. pixel images are made by placing each pixel by the pencil tool,without using any photoshop or gimp filters.

Ok.

 

 

 

Pixel: each pixel hand placed, or at the very least, dran in by hand. You used gimp or another program to make the orbish energy thing.

 

 

 

Anyhow.

 

 

 

The rest of it is basically a square with rectangular arms and basically no shading.

 

 

 

1: get rid of the gimp thing and draw something by hand.

 

 

 

2: anatomy. Look at someone.

 

 

 

3: shading.

 

 

 

4: background/ scenery.

 

 

 

5: I'd almost suggest you start over, without any program but pain. sorry.
